Motion Lab: Canine Conditioning on the Slat Mill Welcome to Motion Lab, where we focus on building strength, endurance, and confidence through structured slat mill training. A slat mill is a non-motorized treadmill designed specifically for dogs. Powered entirely by your dog’s own movement, it allows for natural, self-paced running that encourages proper stride and muscle engagement. Unlike traditional treadmills, the slat mill responds to your dog’s energy, allowing them to control the pace, pause when needed, and develop their fitness safely and comfortably. Why Slat Mill Training? Slat mill training provides countless benefits, including: • Controlled, High-Energy Exercise: Ideal for high-drive or energetic dogs needing an intense physical outlet. • Strength & Endurance Building: Great for muscle development, cardiovascular health, and weight management. • Mental Focus & Confidence: Dogs learn to focus and control their movement, building confidence through structured activity. • All-Weather Exercise: A perfect solution when outdoor exercise isn’t an option. This is a safe, structured, and effective way to build both physical and mental stamina for your dog. Each session is tailored to your dog’s fitness level and comfort, with gradual progressions over time. Free 5-Minute Test Run : Not sure if slat mill training is the right fit? We offer a free 5-minute test run to introduce your dog to the slat mill and ensure they’re comfortable. • This is a drop-off service—you’re welcome to drop your dog off and shop nearby, or stay and watch how the process works! • Important Note: If you choose to leave, you must return within 30 minutes. Late pickups will incur an additional fee to cover holding space and staff time if not approved with your trainer. Cancellation Policy
Motion Lab Liability Waiver & Service Agreement Tolonen Family Pet Shop & The Dog Lady LLC By booking or participating in Motion Lab services, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms: Participation in Motion Lab sessions, including use of the slat mill, involves physical activity and inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, muscle soreness, fatigue, stress, illness, or unforeseen medical complications. You confirm that your dog is physically healthy, free from contagious illness, and capable of safely participating in exercise activities. Dogs are never forced onto the slat mill. Sessions are supervised by trained professionals and customized to the individual dog’s age, temperament, physical condition, and experience level. Breaks are provided as needed, and dogs are monitored closely for signs of stress or fatigue. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release and hold harmless The Dog Lady LLC, Tolonen Family Pet Shop, their owners, trainers, employees, staff, affiliates, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from participation in Motion Lab services, including injury, illness, property damage, or accidents involving your dog, yourself, or third parties. You accept full financial and legal responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by your dog to individuals, other dogs, staff, equipment, facilities, or property. Any damage caused by your dog to equipment or property will be your financial responsibility. In the event of a medical emergency, staff will make reasonable efforts to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, you authorize The Dog Lady LLC and Tolonen Family Pet Shop to seek necessary veterinary care for your dog at your expense. Motion Lab is a drop-off service. Clients may stay and observe or leave during the session. If leaving, clients must return within 30 minutes of the scheduled session end time. Late pickups will result in a $50 holding fee. By participating, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and voluntarily assume all risks associated with Motion Lab participation.
