Service Description
What Happens During Day Training? Each 3-hour session is structured, hands-on, and focused on real progress—not just burning energy. • Treadmill Work: We start with structured exercise to take the edge off and build focus in a controlled way. • Structured Walks: Multiple walks (inside and outside) working on leash manners, engagement, and staying neutral around distractions. • Environment Work: Dogs move through different areas like the grooming room to build confidence with new surfaces, sounds, and smells. • Real-World Exposure: When possible, we get out to pet-friendly spots to practice skills in actual environments—not just the shop. • Repetition: We drill the basics—place, sit/stays, greetings, leash work—so behaviors actually stick. • Social Work: Controlled exposure to people, noise, and sometimes other dogs to build appropriate behavior. • Mental Work: Problem-solving, obedience, and structured tasks to keep their brain engaged. The goal is simple: your dog leaves more neutral, more focused, and more reliable—not just tired. Cancellation Policy
Day Training Service Policy Tolonen Family Pet Shop & The Dog Lady LLC By booking a Day Training session, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms: 1. Training Period • Day Training sessions consist of a 3-hour dedicated training period. • Dogs are expected to be dropped off and picked up on time to ensure their schedule and care remain consistent. 2. Late Pickup Policy • If you anticipate needing additional care beyond the scheduled session, you may pre-schedule an extended pickup for an additional $25 fee. • If you arrive late without pre-scheduling, a $50 holding fee will be applied. This fee covers the cost of staff time and holding space. • Late pickups must be communicated promptly to avoid misunderstandings. Repeated late pickups may result in termination of service. 3. Liability Waiver • You acknowledge that participation in day training involves physical activity and potential risks. • You release and hold harmless The Dog Lady LLC, Tolonen Family Pet Shop, their owners, staff, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities arising from injury, illness, or accidents involving your dog during or after the training session. • You accept full responsibility for any damages or injuries caused by your dog to themselves, other dogs, individuals, equipment, or property. • If your dog causes damage to property or equipment, you agree to cover the costs of repair or replacement. 4. Health & Behavior Requirements • Your dog must be up-to-date on all vaccinations and free from contagious illnesses. • Dogs showing signs of illness, aggression, or stress may be removed from the session for their safety and the safety of others. • You agree to inform staff of any health concerns or behavior issues prior to the session. 5. Emergency Medical Care • In case of a medical emergency, staff will attempt to contact you immediately. • If you cannot be reached, you authorize The Dog Lady LLC and Tolonen Family Pet Shop to seek necessary medical care for your dog. • You accept full financial responsibility for any veterinary care required. 6. Agreement to Terms By booking a day training session, you confirm that: • You have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined above. • You accept all risks associated with day training. • You release The Dog Lady LLC and Tolonen Family Pet Shop from any liability as outlined in this agreement.
