Motion Lab Sessions
Motion Lab sessions may include use of a slat mill, a non-motorized, dog-powered treadmill, under the supervision of a trained professional.
Dogs are never forced onto the slat mill. Sessions are introduced gradually and customized to each dog’s age, temperament, physical condition, and experience level. Dogs may be guided using leash cues, verbal encouragement, toys, or food motivation as appropriate. Breaks are provided as needed, and dogs are monitored closely for signs of stress, fatigue, overheating, or discomfort.
Participation may be paused or discontinued at any time if staff determine the session is unsafe or inappropriate for the dog.
Drop-Off & Pickup Policy
Motion Lab is a drop-off service.
Clients may stay and observe or leave during the session.
If leaving, clients must return within 30 minutes of the scheduled session end time.
Late pickups will result in a $50 holding fee.
Please communicate in advance if you plan to leave, as holding space is limited.
Health Requirements
Dogs must be physically healthy and able to safely participate in exercise activities.
Dogs showing signs of illness, injury, contagious conditions, or unsafe behavior may be refused or removed from services at staff discretion.
Clients are encouraged to consult their veterinarian regarding participation if they have health concerns for their dog.
Photography & Media Release
By participating in Motion Lab services, you authorize The Dog Lady LLC and Tolonen Family Pet Shop to photograph or record video of you and/or your dog for training documentation, educational content, marketing materials, websites, and social media.
Additional Policies
The Trainer reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a dog poses a safety concern to staff, the public, or other animals.
Motion Lab sessions are structured exercise and enrichment services. Specific behavioral or physical outcomes are not guaranteed.

By booking or participating in Motion Lab services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Assumption of Risk
Participation in Motion Lab sessions involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, muscle soreness, fatigue, stress, illness, or unforeseen medical complications. You confirm that your dog is physically healthy, free from contagious illness, and capable of safely participating in exercise activities.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Liability Waiver
You release and hold harmless The Dog Lady LLC, Tolonen Family Pet Shop, their owners, trainers, employees, staff, affiliates, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from participation in Motion Lab services, including injury, illness, property damage, accidents, handling or training of your dog, or use of the slat mill and related equipment.
Participation is voluntary and done at your own risk.
Financial Responsibility
You accept full financial and legal responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by your dog to individuals, dogs, staff, equipment, facilities, or property. Any damage caused by your dog to equipment or property will be your responsibility.
Emergency Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency, staff will make reasonable efforts to contact you immediately. If you cannot be reached, you authorize The Dog Lady LLC and Tolonen Family Pet Shop to seek necessary veterinary care for your dog at your expense.
You accept full financial responsibility for any veterinary treatment provided.
Client Acknowledgment
By participating in Motion Lab services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms, voluntarily assume all associated risks, accept responsibility for your dog, authorize emergency veterinary treatment if necessary, and release The Dog Lady LLC and Tolonen Family Pet Shop from liability as outlined above.
